My dearest gentle reader,
As we pull the curtain on this 11th month and soon, on the entire year, I feel compelled to pour my heart out to you. No doubt, we could survive in this world all by ourselves but that wouldn’t be true living. Life is given its meaning because of other people and this sentiment holds true for Conversations with Fay.
I will be honest, sometimes it can feel like I am in a silo when I write but out of the blue, I get the sweetest comment and I feel like I could write and never stop. I want to share a particular instance that really warmed my heart. My subscribers – if you haven’t subscribed yet, click here to do so now – get my posts directly to their inbox. On this particular day, I got an email response from one of my readers and it was just the sweetest thing. He had been a friend I met in Calabar last year and seeing that while we may have lost touch, he still kept up with my work was really humbling for me. I love writing but it can be really hard sometimes, thank you so much for making it worthwhile.
That’s why I am writing today, to say thank you to people just like you. Thank you for reading, for commenting, for engaging and for supporting. Thank you for sticking with CWF for another year. I have been doing this officially for over two years now can you believe it? It’s only been worth it because you have followed me on this journey. Life in this world has meaning because you are in it.
I’m not going to go too deep into discussing 2025 since that’s what the December post is for but how are you doing? The year ends in 33 days, how are you feeling in this exact moment? This year has been nothing short of revelatory and I continue to unravel beautifully.
This wasn’t meant to be a long post, more of a thank you note to let you know that I see you and I am thankful. You will be hearing from me again soon but until then, enjoy the final 33 days in 2024.
All my love,
Fay
