My Life Depended on it

It’s part three of the word series, this time we will be sharing with you our personal experiences with God’s word.

Still on the word of God and the integrity of his word. It was February of 2023, the Salary for January had been paid and as the Christian culture of giving, I had given my first fruit of the year to God and I honestly wondered how I was going to survive the month of February.

God came through on a Sunday morning, right after I got home from service this scripture dropped in my spirit in the Yoruba language: for this is what the Lord God of Israel says, ‘The flour jar will not become empty and the oil jug will not run dry until the day the Lord sends rain on the surface of the land.” 1 Kings 17:14 HCSB.

After reading it both in Yoruba and English language, my faith increased and I trusted God to feed me like he did the widow. The scripture became my mantra, I read it every time and I prayed with it as if my life depended on it and truly my life depended on it because at that point God had to come through for me. It wasn’t like I wasn’t worried but for the times worrying came, I spoke those lines from the scripture to myself and prayed with it too.

And then God came through the second time, it started with an alert I got from my dad unasked, and then supply came and there was never a time in February I lacked anything. The amazing part is at the end of February I had no explanation for how I lived that month except with the word of God and it was interesting and amazing to have experienced the word of God becoming flesh and abiding with me.

I was once again reminded that God is a man of his word and he can always be trusted! Even now, the flour jar has not become empty nor has the oil jar run dry.

Today’s post is part 3 of the special 4-part series with God lover and blogger Nike. To read my own post on her blog, kindly click on this link: https://learnofhim02.wordpress.com/.
